This is the final volume in a 5 volume collection of the papers and articles (other than books) by Sir Hersch Lauterpacht (1897 1960), who is generally regarded as one of the most distinguished and influential public international lawyers of the twentieth century. There is no other collection of his works. The papers are so detailed and wide ranging that, presented in systematic arrangement, they almost amount to a major treatise on the whole subject of international law as it developed in the first half of the twentieth century.
